Cookie Policy
The complete list of cookies LoveWatch sets — it is short
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This is the complete list of cookies and browser storage lovewatch.live uses. We set no advertising cookies and no social-media cookies. We run no ad network of any kind — there is no Google AdSense on this site, and no plan for one.
Cookies
- Session cookies (
better-auth.*) — keep you signed in. Set when you log in, removed when you log out or the session expires. - Locale cookie (
PARAGLIDE_LOCALE) — remembers whether you chose English or Chinese. - Sidebar cookie (
sidebar_state) — remembers whether you collapsed the dashboard sidebar. Only relevant once you are signed in. - Guest cookie (
lw_guest) — set only if you try a conversation without an account on/try. It holds a signed id for that guest conversation so your five free messages carry over a reload, and it expires after seven days. If you then sign up or sign in, the conversation moves to your account.
Local storage (not a cookie)
theme— remembers your light/dark mode choice. Stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to our servers.
Third-party cookies and storage
Two services:
- Google Analytics 4 sets
_gaand_ga_<measurement id>. They hold a randomly generated number that lets Google count a repeat visit as the same browser rather than as two._galasts two years,_ga_…lasts two years. - PostHog sets a cookie named
ph_<project key>_posthogand keeps the same value in local storage. It holds a random identifier and, once you are signed in, your account id (never your email or name), so a visit before sign-up and the account after it count as one person. It lasts a year.
Nothing you wrote reaches either of them — see the analytics section of the privacy policy.
The other analytics service we use, Plausible, sets no cookies at all and stores nothing in your browser.
Embedded widgets
One: Cloudflare Turnstile, the "are you human" check on the sign-up form and on the guest page. It is loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com and runs only on those pages. There are no social buttons, no ad tags and no AdSense.
You can check what is actually running on the page you are reading: open your browser's network tab and look for analytics.xhorizon.org (Plausible, on our own server), googletagmanager.com (Google Analytics), /api/ingest (PostHog, through our own domain) and, on those two pages, challenges.cloudflare.com.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in; everything else keeps working, the analytics cookies included — blocking those costs you nothing and costs us one number.
