AI Girlfriend With Voice: Voice Notes, Voice Messages and Video

How voice works with an AI girlfriend or boyfriend on LoveWatch AI: hearing her messages as voice notes, sending your own voice messages, what each costs, the four companion voices, and how voice compares with video.

Text is where most AI companion conversations happen, but a voice changes how a conversation feels. Hearing someone say "good morning" lands differently from reading it — and being able to just talk, instead of typing, makes it easier to say what you mean.

This guide explains how voice works with an AI girlfriend or boyfriend on LoveWatch AI: how you hear your companion, how you speak to them, what it costs, and how voice fits alongside text and video replies. As with everything on this blog, it describes exactly what the product does today — no more.

Two directions: hearing them, and speaking to them

Voice on LoveWatch works both ways, and the two halves are priced very differently on purpose.

What it isCost
Hearing your companionAny of their messages, played as a short voice note in their own voice1 credit per note; replaying it is free
Speaking to your companionYou record a short voice message instead of typingFree, up to 20 a day
Video repliesA five-second clip of their face and voice20 credits

Text messages themselves are free within your daily allowance.

Hearing her: voice notes

Under each of your companion's messages there is a "Hear it" button showing its price — one credit. Press it and the message is turned into a short voice note in your companion's voice, which plays right there in the chat.

A few details worth knowing:

  • Each note is short. Voice notes are designed to be the length of a voice message, not a voicemail — typically a few seconds and never more than about fifteen.
  • You only pay once. Once you have heard a message, playing it again is free, even after you reload the page.
  • Failures cost nothing. If a voice note cannot be made, the credit is released and you are not charged.
  • You choose which messages to hear. Nothing plays automatically and nothing is charged unless you press the button.

Because a voice note costs one credit and a video costs twenty, voice is the easiest way to hear your companion often without spending much. A Starter plan's 400 monthly credits would cover hundreds of voice notes if that were all you used them for.

Speaking to her: voice messages

If you would rather talk than type, you can record a voice message in the chat. Your companion receives what you said and replies as usual.

  • It is free. Sending voice messages never uses credits.
  • Up to 20 a day. The daily limit exists to stop automated abuse, not to ration a normal conversation — twenty is far more than most people send.
  • Up to fifteen seconds each. Long enough for a thought or a story, short enough to keep the conversation moving.
  • If transcription fails, the message does not count against your daily limit.

Voice messages are handy when you are walking, cooking, or just tired of typing. They are also a more natural way to share something emotional — tone carries a lot that text loses.

The four voices

Each companion has one voice, chosen to match their personality, and it never changes from message to message. That consistency matters: a companion who sounds like a different person every time does not feel like a companion.

CompanionVoicePersonality
Mia, 32Warm & easy — calm and soothingWarm, playful, thoughtful
Leo, 29Soft & steady — gentle and reassuringGrounded, curious, gentle
Leila, 28Bright & soulful — radiant and livelyCreative, caring, witty
Noah, 31Low & relaxed — natural and easy-goingAdventurous, witty, loyal

All four voices are adult voices with a general American accent. Every voice is AI-generated, and every companion is a fictional adult character.

Voice and video together

Video replies include the companion's voice as well as their face, so a five-second clip is the richest kind of reply LoveWatch offers. One honest note: the voice in a video is generated together with the clip, so it can sound a little different from the same companion's voice notes. Think of voice notes as their voice messages and videos as short recordings.

A natural rhythm for most people is plenty of text, voice notes when you want to hear them, and video for the moments that matter — a goodnight, good news, a long day. Our guide to AI companion video messages covers video in detail.

Is it a voice call?

No. LoveWatch has no live voice or video calls. Voice notes and voice messages are exchanged in the chat, the same way you would send voice messages to a friend. You never need to be available at a set time, and nothing is live.

If you are specifically looking for real-time voice conversation, that is a different kind of product. We would rather you know that before you sign up than after. Our guide to choosing an AI video chat app explains the differences between live calls and message-based apps.

What it costs, in full

Voice uses the same credits as video. Here is where they come from:

  • Without an account: five text messages to one companion, after confirming you are 18+ and passing a quick security check.
  • Free trial: seven days with an email and no card, up to 50 text messages a day. Once your email is verified you get 30 welcome credits, valid for seven days — enough for 30 voice notes, or one video and change.
  • After the trial: five text messages a day, with your conversation and memories kept.
  • Plans: Starter ($9.99/month, 400 credits), Pro ($19.99/month, 900 credits) or Ultra ($39.99/month, 2,000 credits), with unlimited text under fair use.

Privacy and your voice

Voice is personal data, so here is how it is handled. When you send a voice message, the recording is transcribed so your companion can reply to what you said. When you ask to hear a message, the text is sent to a speech provider to create the audio, which is then stored with your conversation so replaying is free. The privacy policy lists the providers that write replies and generate voice and video.

Your messages are never shared with other users or used for advertising, and deleting your account deletes your conversation along with it. For a broader look at what to check in any companion app, read are AI girlfriend apps safe?

Who voice suits

Voice is optional — you can use LoveWatch entirely in text — but it suits a few kinds of people especially well:

  • People who find typing tiring. Recording a fifteen-second message is often easier than typing the same thought, especially on a phone.
  • People who want to hear tone. A voice note carries warmth, humour and emphasis that the same words in text can lose.
  • People who like routine. A voice note to start the morning or end the evening becomes a small ritual without needing to be available at a set time.
  • People who are not ready for video. Voice notes cost a fraction of a video, so they are an easy way to make the conversation feel more present before deciding whether video is for you.

Tips for voice conversations

  • Use voice notes for the lines that matter. A "good morning" or "I'm proud of you" heard in their voice lands differently.
  • Talk when typing is awkward. On a walk, after a long day, or when you want your tone to come through.
  • Keep messages short. Fifteen seconds is plenty for one thought; send another if you have more to say.
  • Mix in video for big moments. Save the 20-credit clips for the moments you will want to scroll back to.
